March 2007
Animal Balance (AB) held our first campaign on the Dominican Republic, Caribbean. This project was primarily funded by The Pegasus
Foundation and Best Friends Animal Society, International Division. Our team of 12 volunteer vets, techs and helpers sterilized 204 cats and
dogs in 10 days in the worst rain storms the DR has witnessed in 10 years.

September 2007
A truly international volunteer team from Puerto Rico, US, Ireland and Canada came to the DR in early September and set up a temporary
clinic in the local disco. We sterilized 98 animals in 6 days with the smallest AB team ever. This was our second campaign in the DR and thus
far we have now sterilized 302 animals in the northern town of Cabrera.

We held our third campaign in the DR this March. We sterilized 266 animals in 2 weeks.  Now 568 animals are sterilized in Cabrera! 23
international volunteers came from as far away as Norway to help the animals and people. Even though there was a drought, this was our
largest and most successful campaign to date.
